The International Motorcycle Show is a consumer trade show that travels the country during the winter months giving people a chance to check out all the new motorcycle and scooters. We sent Scooter Riders Now correspondent Cindi Servante to the show in San Mateo, California, to check out the new scooters and ask people their first impression of some of the models. Geico Insurance was hosting the scooter pavilion at all the International Motorcycle Shows so it wouldn't be right not to have a picture with the gecko! That's Jeannine Freeman, a friend of Cindi's, our reporter.

One of several posters at the show focusing on women riding scooters.

Eli is on the CF Moto V3 250, which is considered technically an automatic motorcycle. Eli says, "For a scooter, it looks pretty sporty." Price: $3,499.

Tony is sitting on a CF Moto E.Charm 150T. Tony says, "It's a lot larger than my 1984 Honda NQ50. I'm amazed that it can go up to 80 mph. It has a comfortable seating position and a cushy seat that makes my butt happy." Price: $2,645

Liz is sitting on a Honda Metropolitan 50. Liz says, "I like the retro styling and the comfortable seat. The fact that is has a gas gauge and goes up to 50 mph and has a kick-start as well as electric is great. Perfect for where I live, which is in a small town." Price: $1,899.

Bob is sitting on a Vespa/Piaggio LXV 150. Bob says, "My cousin Bubbles has two that I have ridden, and this Vespa looks bigger and better." Price: $4,299.

Sandra is sitting on a Vespa/Piaggio GTS 250. Sandra says, "I have a Honda Rebel, but this is cute and has the same engine size. I would definitely ride one." Price: $5,999.

Jeannine is sitting on a Kymco Xciting R 500. Jeannine says, "It feels a little heavier than my scooter -- makes me a little nervous that it might be too much for me. I like the seat. It's more comfy than my seat." MSRP $5,999.

Lorna is sitting on a Yamaha Zuma 125. Lorna says, "I rode a Yamaha scooter in the past about this size on a race track. I was goofing around at the time, but now am considering a new one like this or the Aprilla Scarabeo 200." Zuma's price is: $2,999.

Dave is sitting on a Yamaha T Max 500. Dave says, "I find it appealing that it has a trunk, is a step through, and no shifting with the larger wheels. A great commuter." Price: $7,999.

The rear of the Yamaha T Max 500 closely resembles that of a motorcycle with its larger 150mm rear tire.
