Around town reliability
5/30/2010: Honda’s all new Elite 110 is one of two scooters introduced for Big Red’s 2010 lineup, the other being the SH150i. These two models fit in a wide gap between the 50cc Ruckus and 50cc Metropolitan models and the hulking 582cc Silver Wing.

Yamaha's TMAX Maxi Scooter
Feels like a supersport motorcycle, but rides like a scooter
7/31/2009: "Supersport" designated motorcycles command awe and appreciation for their combination of sleek, go-fast looks and sporty, go-fast performance. On the other hand, scooters often don the less-sexy monikers of economical, practical, and even cute.

The Fastest Vespa: 2009 GTS 300 Super
What makes it super?
7/13/2009: New for 2009, Vespa's GTS 300 Super is the latest evolution of its best-selling mid-size scooter, the GTS 250. New electric scooters hit dealerships in May
4/21/2009: Electric two-wheeler specialist Vectrix Corp. in January unveiled its VX-1E and entry-level VX-2 scooters, two units that join the flagship VX-1 in the company’s line-up. All vehicles in the Vectrix family are 100 percent electric -- no gas, no oil and no emissions -- and feature minimal maintenance and simple operation. I recently rode the two new models during a visit to the company’s headquarters facility in Rhode Island.

Los Angeles to Vegas on a Scooter? You Bet!
The Honda Silver Wing, aka "Touring Machine"
4/21/2009: My friends thought I was crazy when I told them I was going to ride a scooter to Vegas to attend my first scooter rally. "That will take forever!" and "You won't be able to take any stuff with you!" and "You'll get blown all over the road!" they said. Honda proves them all wrong with the Silver Wing rightfully touting it as a 'touring machine that just happens to be a scooter.'
